Over the next couple of weeks, we have some great events, including the Wine Pon It Tour (scroll below for that info and Free Mix CD downloads) that night will be sick, both in Ottawa & Montreal... There are 4events at both Maysens in Sherbrooke & Lennoxville, including Plasterazzi tomorrow night, where you can Win Habs Tickets... as well as Crank Dat where you can Win CDs, Posters & Movie Passes. We have the Classified Tour taking place in Montreal & Quebec City, and Sneaker Pimps returns to Montreal. If you like shoes of any kind, you have to represent!!

Crank Dat.... A Dance Competition and Party will be coming to the Maysen on Friday, February 8, 2008. You will be able to win CDs, Posters and Movie Passes to Step Up 2 Da Streets. We will be using this event as an excuse to play some our favourite Crank Dat Videos.

The world’s best Dancehall Reggae dancers perform on one stage as the ‘Wine Pon It’ Tour comes to Montreal & Ottawa. The show is headlined by the current International Dancehall Queen Momo. MoMo is joined on stage by Estonia Dancehall Queen LLisa ‘No Mannaz’ and Italian Dancehall Queen Suna.

This will be the first time that Momo has performed in Montreal since becoming the International Dancehall Queen. MoMo is a Quebec native, having grown up in the small town of Rimouski, and currently living in Quebec City. She only started performing in the Dancehall circuit five years ago, having been a breakdancer before that. In 2004 she won the ‘Miss Canadian Dancehall Queen Competition’ This past summer she won the coveted ‘Miss International Dancehall Queen Competition’ in Jamaica. She is the first white woman to ever win the coveted crown and only the second non-Jamaican (after 2002’s Junko from Japan). She is currently touring across the world and is featured in numerous DVDs.

LLisa ‘No Mannaz’ is one of the most prolific and well known European Dancehall Queens today. She shot to fame after winning the 2006 Estonian Dancehall Queen competition. In 2007, she joined the infamous Jamaican dancers, ‘No Mannaz Girlz’ Dancehall Queen Suna hails from the town of Bologna, Italy. She has been touring across Europe, and this summer will be the first Italian to ever compete for the International Dancehall Queen title.

It goes down in Ottawa on Friday, Feb. 8 at the Comfort Inn (112 Montreal Rd). The Montreal show takes place Saturday, Feb. 9th at EB Club-Lounge, 5345 De Maisonneuve W., corner Decarie Blvd. Metro Vendome.
